At 6-6, the Patriots struggle to defeat good teams (lost last two games to playoff bound Minnesota and Buffalo), but beat up on the bad teams. All six of their victories have come against opponents who are outside of the postseason picture.
The Cardinals have the sixth worst defense in the league, according to Pro Football Focus. That should give Bill Belichick and co. ample opportunity to put their counterparts away in this one.
SGP Pick #2: Mac Jones Over 219.5 Passing Yards
This passing yardage total is very much modest and therefore attainable for Mac Jones. In two of his last three starts, he’s gone over that total, with 246 and 382 yards respectively. On the campaign, Arizona has given up the eighth highest passing yards per game in the league (245.4) That’s something to consider in the Patriots vs Cardinals picks.

Quarterbacks have gone over the listed 219.5 passing yard total against Arizona in five of their last six outings, with the lone exception being John Wolford and the anemic Rams offense. Just two starts ago, in a climate controlled environment in Minnesota (which is the same as it’ll be in Arizona), Jones threw for 382 yards, the most he’s had in his career.

Hunter Henry is something of an enigma on a week to week basis – in the last four games he’s put up 50, 20, 63, and 13 receiving yards. With that in mind, we are opting for yet another line that is modest at 24.5 yards. This season, the Cardinals have been dreadful against tight ends, ranking dead last in the NFL, giving up 73.3 yards per contest.
With WR Jakobi Meyers not suiting up for this one, that’ll be one less mouth to feed in the offense, making Henry’s receiving yardage total that much more likely. He must definitely be looked at in your Patriots vs Cardinals props for this Monday Night Football battle.
