Two of the biggest mysteries of the season face off on Sunday afternoon. The Baltimore Ravens (0-2, 0-1 away, 0-2 ATS) head to Arlington for a date with the Dallas Cowboys (1-1, 0-1 home, 1-1 ATS) in Week 3. Kickoff is set for 4:25 pm ET at AT&T Stadium.

The Ravens stumbled in a narrow 26-23 loss to the Las Vegas Ravens and the Ravens vs Cowboys odds slightly favor Baltimore to get in the win column. The Ravens range from one to 1.5-point favorites and are as short as -108 on the moneyline, with the total at 48.5.

The Ravens and Cowboys opened with two of the higher NFL win totals (both double digits) and are underwhelming through two weeks. After losing by a toe to the Kansas City Chiefs to open the season, the Ravens fell apart at home on Sunday. Baltimore squandered a ten-point lead while committing 11 penalties for 109 yards. That is not exactly winning football.

While they arguably should have won one of their first two games, Baltimore finds itself in a huge hole after not winning one. Despite this, the Ravens are one to 1.5-point favorites on the road against the Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. That sounds crazy but with Lamar Smith and company, it really is not.

After racking up 383 yards of total offense, one thing was clear: Baltimore could not finish drives. Even against Kansas City, the Ravens probably left anywhere from six to as many as 11 points on the table so to speak. Sometimes you are what you are. In Baltimore’s case, the Ravens are 0-2.

The Cowboys are not that much better honestly. Dak Prescott and company looked solid but not spectacular in Week 1 against Cleveland. It felt an awful lot like Week 1 last year where they blew out the New York Giants on the road. Dallas held Cleveland under 250 yards of offense and forced two turnovers. That created short fields where the Cowboys made the Browns pay. Cleveland was down 27-3 early in the third before making the game a little closer late.

That 33-17 win did not prepare them for what would happen in Week 2. New Orleans and Derek Carr continued to put a hurting on another defense as the Dallas defense could not get the Saints off the field. What resulted was a 44-20 rout with five touchdowns and three field goals. Dallas was the team that turned the ball over twice and gave up 432 yards (190 0n the ground). The first half saw the teams combine for 51 points (New Orleans scored 35).

It’s possible the Cowboys could recover in Week 3 but that might be tough. The one thing Baltimore excels in is running the ball to set up the pass. This may not quite feel like Deja Vu, but the Ravens could have their fair share of opportunities against a vulnerable Dallas defense.

I expect the Ravens to try and do the same thing to Dallas that New Orleans executed in Week 2. Keep an eye on CeeDee Lamb, who had not practiced much if any. If Lamb is hampered in any way, the Dallas offense will be further compromised. That will leave the defense on the field longer.

Best Ravens vs Cowboys Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Baltimore Ravens -1.0 (-115) at Caesars -108 at FanDuel Over 48.5 (-108) at DraftKings
Dallas Cowboys +1.5 (-120) at FanDuel +100 at Caesars Under 48.5 (-105) at FanDuel

As mentioned, the spread still ranges from 1.0 to 1.5. Caesars currently has the best ATS odds on the Ravens to cover, listing Baltimore at -1 at -110. The best price on the Jets is currently +1.5 (-120), which bettors can take advantage of with the NFL betting strategies.

DraftKings has the best when it comes to the Over of 48.5 at -108 on DraftKings. If one fancies Dallas to win outright, they are Even at Caesars currently.

Our picks again for this one are the Ravens at -1.5 via FanDuel and the Over of 48.5 on DraftKings.
