The Ravens are 6-1 SU and ATS against the Browns since a 31-15 victory in Cleveland on Dec. 22, 2019. Over a longer stretch, Baltimore is 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS in the series played twice every season. The Ravens are 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS in the last eight in Cleveland and 4-0 ATS all-time as an underdog on the banks of Lake Erie.
Baltimore Playing Hurt
Quarterback Lamar Johnson remains sidelined with a knee injury suffered two weeks ago, and the Ravens are expected to start Tyler Huntley for the second straight week. Huntley suffered a concussion and was replaced by Anthony Brown in the second half of a 16-14 victory at Pittsburgh last week, been Huntley practiced this week and does not have an injury designation. Huntley passed for 88 yards and rushed for 31 in a mistake-free game against the Steelers.

The Ravens, as usual, led with their running game and their defense against the Steelers. Halfback J.K. Dobbins returned from a six-week stay on the injured list to rush for 120 yards and two touchdowns, his biggest contribution since suffering a knee injury in the 2021 preseason. The Ravens had 215 yards rushing, three interceptions, two sacks and a six-minute advantage in time of possession. Calais Campbell blocked a field goal attempt, the ninth blocked kick of his career.
Baltimore has not allowed a 100-yard rushing this season and linebacker Roquan Smith, acquired from Chicago on Nov. 1, has made a strong Ravens’ defense even stronger. Baltimore has given up an average of 55 yards rushing and 13.4 points per game while permitting six touchdowns in Smith’s five games.
Cleveland’s Watson Makes Home Debut
DeShaun Watson will make this third start of the season and his first at FirstEnergy Stadium after serving an 11-game suspension at the start of the season. Watson is 1-1 in his two starts, winning at Houston on Dec. 4 and losing at Cincinnati the last time out. He has completed 38 of 64 passes for 407 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Browns have scored one offensive touchdown and generated 16 points in his eight quarters, and he was replaced by former starter Jacoby Brissett on a failed fourth down pass play last week.

The Browns are fifth in the NFL in rushing behind Nick Chubb, but they had only 71 yards rushing in the 23-10 loss at Cincinnati the last time out. Chu.,bb had 34. They have been held under 100 three times. Chubb, who has 1,153 yards rushing and is second in the league with 12 rushing touchdowns, has gone over 100 yards only once in nine games against the Ravens.
Baltimore has a plus-nine turnover margin. Cleveland’s is minus-5.
Baltimore vs Cleveland Injury Report
Ravens guard Kevin Zeitler (knee) and punter Jordan Stout (knee) are questionable.
Browns linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (foot) is out after suffering a season-ending injury last week. Cleveland has lost four starting linebacker season-ending injuries. Wide receiver Amari Cooper (core muscle) was limited in practice but does not have an injury designation. Browns’ wide receiver David Bell (toe) is questionable.
Ravens vs Browns Prediction
Baltimore plays the same game with Jackson and without him, with not quite as strong a runner at quarterback. The Ravens run the ball and rely on their defense to do the rest. The Browns beat Baltimore and Huntley 24-22 last December after Jackson left with a sprained right ankle injury on the first play of the second quarter. That will not happen here.
- Pick: Baltimore +3 (-110)
- Season NFL: 3-4 ATS
