Ohio State Betting Trends
As expected, Ohio State enters this one as an undefeated juggernaut.
Behind what may be the very best offense in the sport, this team averages over 40 points per game. Led by Heisman trophy favorite CJ Stroud, the Buckeyes are the 2nd-ranked team in the country for a reason. The Ohio State offense ranks 3rd in yards, and 1st in points per game.

With the news that Jaxson Smith-Njigba is expected to play, Stroud will have his full stable of elite wideouts on hand. Even without Smith-Njigba, Ohio State may have the best group of pass-catchers in the nation. After all, Julian Fleming and sophomores Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka have more than shouldered the load. The trio have combined for 61 catches, 1660 yards and 23 touchdowns so far this season.
Furthermore, Jim Knowles’ defense utterly dominated the Hawkeyes last week. Ohio State held Iowa to just 2.7 yards per play, allowed just one third-down conversion and took the ball away six times.
With that being said, the Buckeyes are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six meetings against Penn State.
Penn State Betting Trends
Big Ten offensive player of the week Sean Clifford threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns in last week’s win over Minnesota. Penn State’s offense scored touchdowns on six of eight possessions against Minnesota and was able to establish an offensive rhythm.
Not to mention, freshman running back Nicholas Singleton has been a revelation. Singleton enters this contest with 7 touchdowns and 6.8 yards per carry so far this season. Penn State head coach James Franklin will need to lean on the running game to have any shot at defeating Ohio State. After an off-night versus Michigan, the Nittany Lions offense is back on the right track.

That being said, Penn State ranks just 77th nationally in sacks per game (2). If the pass rush fails to disrupt the timing of Stroud and his wideouts, the Nittany Lions have little hope in this one.
It’s worth noting, the over is 4-1 in Penn State’s last 5 conference games.
Ohio State vs Penn State Prediction
Penn State will have a tough time slowing down the overpowering force that is Ohio State. In all honesty, the Nittany Lions need to play a perfect game to have any shot at an upset. Ohio State has won nine of the last 10 matchups, and its difficult to see a path to victory for Penn State.
Additionally, the road team is 4-1 against the spread in the past five meetings. Ride with the hot hand of Ohio State on Saturday.
