Justin Thomas Unlikely to Lift Scottish Open Trophy
While he’s obviously a big name, expecting Justin Thomas to break through for his first victory in nearly a year is a tall task based on his play the last several months.

He still seemingly hasn’t fully recovered from a wrist injury that kept him out for a month and subsequently hasn’t posted a top-10 finish since way back in March. Given his recent form, it’s just not wise to wager on him this week, especially given that his odds are so low.

Rafa Cabrera-Bello Poised for Victory
The 2017 champion at this event (albeit on a different golf course), is playing some superb golf of late, and at +2500 odds presents fantastic value this week.

In his last two events, Cabrera-Bello was in the mix to win both tournaments, ultimately settling for third and fourth place finishes. The big hitting Spaniard also has deft touch, ranking eighth in strokes gained around the greens on the European Tour this season which will come in handy at the Renaissance Club.

2019 Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open Best Value Picks
- Bernd Wiesberger (+3300): Was runner-up last week at the Irish Open and won in Denmark two months ago. Has just one tournament since March on European Tour where he finished outside the top 23 players, spanning seven events.
- Jorge Campillo (+5000): Fifth on European Tour “Race to Dubai” rankings, Campillo is coming off a T-7 in Ireland. Has been unbelievable this year, winning once, recording a pair of second place results and also two third place finishes.
